Visitors: If you do not have an accessible parking tag please call 716-645-2608 and request a guest parking permit.

North Campus

The Accessibility Resources office is located on the ground floor of Capen Hall, in room 60, on the North Campus. Capen Hall is located adjacent to Flint Loop, on Putnam Way. To get to our office:

From Flint Loop (South side of Capen Hall)
  1. Enter the building on the right side
  2. Take the stairs or elevator down one level to the ground floor
  3. Turn left out of the elevator and proceed through the lobby area, then make one more turn to the left and follow the corridor to the end
  4. Enter our office through the double doors at the end of the corridor
From Putnam Way (North side of Capen Hall)
  1. Enter the building in the front (from the doors facing Putnam Way) or from the doors on the right side of the building adjacent the loading and parking area
  2. Take the corridor from the right side of the lobby
  3. Enter our office through the double doors at the end of the corridor

South Campus

  1. Enter the South Campus off Bailey Avenue (at the light by the VA Hospital) onto Sherman Road.
  2. Stay on Sherman Road past Rotary Road and immediately make a slight left into the Diefendorf Parking Lot (this is a faculty/staff lot but people with accessible Parking Tags may park in designated Accessible Parking spaces and those with Visitor Parking Passes may park in other spaces.
  3. Turn right and drive toward Diefendorf Hall at end of lot.

Please note: there is also an accessible parking and short term visitor parking on Rotary Road immediately outside accessible entry to Diefendorf Hall.

Meet Our Staff

Randy Borst, Director

MS, Counseling - Purdue University

Randy has more than 25 years of experience directing disability service programs in postsecondary education. He has an extensive history of volunteer leadership in community organizations, government services and professional-membership associations.

Kristin Harte, Associate Director

MS and C.A.S., School Counseling - Niagara University

An active member in the area of transitioning students from K-12 to higher education. Kristin has leadership roles with local and state organizations to support transition for students and their families.

Sue Mann Dolce, Associate Director

Ph.D., Rehabilitation Science - University at Buffalo, OTR/L, RYT, C-IAYT

Sue’s areas of interest and research include participation, disability studies and collaborative programming, as well as universal design and programming. She enjoys working with all members of the UB community to learn about, design and implement education and participation opportunities for everyone. Sue is also a Registered Yoga Teacher.

Erin Brunelle, Training Coordinator, Client Service, Center for Assistive Technology (CAT)


Erin has worked extensively in the field of assistive technology, directing and managing projects related to assistive technology for persons of all ages.  For more information about CAT services, visit
